SK Telecom to Offer T Store Applications to Lenovo Smartphones

Telecom announced on November 8, 2010 that the company has signed a MOU
(Memorandum of Understanding) with Lenovo to preload SK Telecom's mobile
application store, T Store, on Smartphones manufactured by Lenovo, according to
the Korea IT Times. It is reported that SK Telecom plans to sell paid applications
in the Chinese market, which is dominated by free applications currently. As
per the agreement, SK Telecom and Lenovo will create a global content
management system that will connect T Store platform to Lenovo's platform, thus,
allowing Korean developers to upload applications at T Store and receive
real-time download information. It is estimated that approximately 12% of the
Android-based Smartphones in China are manufactured by Lenovo, according to the
Korea IT Times again.
