Apple Opens New Online Store, Apple Store for Customers in China
October 29, 2010
Apple
announced on October 26, 2010 the launch of a simplified-Chinese version online
store and a Apple Store for its customers in China, according to the Wall
Street Journal. In the past, it is reported that if Chinese customers purchased
Apple's products on the company's Chinese website, they had to pick up their
ordered items at one of Apple's four Apple Stores located in Beijing and
Shanghai. However, with the introduction of the new Chinese online store, the
products ordered are projected to be delivered to the customers, instead. In
2009, there was only one Apple Store in China, but it is expected that Apple
plans to open 25 Apple Stores in China by 2011.
