Foxconn to Build 52 Production Lines for iPad Manufacturing in China

Foxconn
plans to invest up to US$10 billion in building 52 production lines in Chengdu,
China, according to an October 20, 2010 report by the Commercial Times of
Taiwan. It is reported that the production lines will all be used for producing
Apple's iPad, aiming to make 40 million units of iPad annually. Currently, one
production line has been set up and begins production. Construction of the 52
production lines is slated for completion at the end of the first quarter next
year.
