- Samsung,
together with UQ Communications, demonstrated a trial WiMAX 2 network with a
speed up to 330Mbps at CEATEC (Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies) held
in Tokyo, Japan, according to an October 4, 2010 report by the Electronista. It
is reported that Samsung and QU Communications demonstrated full HD 3D videos
and 16 full HD videos on four large-format displays at the same time using the
WiMAX 2 trial network.
- Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology of Indonesia and
Fujitsu Semiconductor of Japan have signed an MoU (Memorandum of Agreement) for
the development of ICT industry of Indonesia in a bid to tap demands from the
public sector. Through knowledge transfer, it is reported that as per the
agreement, Fujitsu is projected to help Indonesia with various projects,
including broadband wireless access applications using Fujitsu's WiMAX
solutions.
