Asus to Release New E-book Reader, Team Up with Txtr for E-book Market

computer manufacturer Asus plans to release a new e-book reader device in
Taiwan and join hands with German e-book retailer Txtr on building a digital
bookstore, targeting at European e-book market, according to a September 1,
2010 report by the Economic Daily News of Taiwan. Dubbed Eee-Note, the new
e-book reader is expected to be released in October 2010. It is reported that
the new e-bookstore service will be available in fall this year in Germany, the
United Kingdom, Spain, and Netherlands. The partnership is expected to be
announced jointly by Asus and Txtr at IFA held in Berlin in September 2010.
