- ZTE recently announced that the company and China Mobile have completed an indoor MIM (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) networking performance trial based on TD-LTE (Time Division-Long Term Evolution), a TDD (Time Division Duplex) version of LTE, in Beijing, according to a press release by ZTE on March 29. Through the trial, the ZTE-China Mobile alliance gathered the world's first batch of TD-LTE performance evaluation data on indoor single/dual path cell throughput in a bid to evaluate solutions for indoor distribution systems. ZTE stated that the result of the trial showed that a dual-path system does significantly outperform a single-path system.
In addition, the alliance is poised to launch a trial network in the Expo News Center at the World Expo Shanghai 2010. Other than China Mobile, ZTE has conducted LTE projects for over ten telecom operators worldwide, including CSL, a subsidiary of Telstra in Hong Kong, Telefonica, SingTel, and Telenor.
