Huawei Selected by Australia's Telstra for LTE Trials

China's Huawei Technologies has been selected by
Telstra of Australia as a supplier for the company's LTE (Long Term Evolution)
trials in Australia, according to a March 19 Telecom Tiger report. Along with
Nokia Siemens Networks and Ericsson, Huawei will carry out Telstra's LTE trials
in Victoria, scheduled to last for three to six months starting in May this
year. According to the project plan, Huawei is expected to provide the
end-to-end LTE/SAE (Service Architecture Evolution) solution including macro
base stations, distributed base stations, and SAE core network for both field
and lab trials.
