CSL Inaugurates ZTE-built LTE Test Network in Hong Kong

Hong Kong telecom operator CSL inaugurated on
November 25 an LTE (Long Term Evolution) test network built by Chinese telecom
solution provider ZTE, Chinese-language Sina News reported. Located in Kowloon
Bay CSL technology center, this test network comes in a core network layout and
radio devices and is capable of a transmission speed of up to 127Mbps. CSL is
currently prepared to launch its UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications
System) HSPA+ (High Speed Packet Access Evolution) services using the 900MHz
spectrum by early 2010.
