Huawei, Hutchison Sign US$422.2 Mln Deal for Indonesia Network Expansion

Huawei Technologies has signed a US$422.2 million deal with Hutchison CP
Telecommunications, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Hutchison
Telecommunications International, for the expansion of Hutchison's network in
Indonesia, Business Times of Hong Kong reported on September 14. The deal
includes both equipment orders and a service contract, whereby Hutchison
expects to spend US$307.2 million on purchasing equipment by January 1, 2011
and another US$80 million by January 1, 2015. As for the service contract, the
two companies agreed to a three-year service plan valued at US$35 million.
