Huawei Builds Claro Brazil's 3G HSDPA Network

China's Huawei Technologies is currently building a commercial 3G HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) in Brazil for mobile phone operator Claro Brazil, a unit under America Movil, according to XFN Asia. The project is expected to reduce the cost of wireless residential broadband services for Claro's customers via the deployment of Huawei's distributed Node B and IP-RAN (Internet Protocol Radio Access Network) solutions.
