According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs' (MOEA) statistics released on April 27, total revenue of Taiwan's information service industry reached a new high of NT$251.6 billion (US$82.1 billion; US$1=NT$30.639) in 2014. By sector, computer system design services generated NT$203.3 billion thanks to strong demand for enterprise cloud systems; data processing and information provisioning services yielded NT$48 billion on the back of online advertising and network management services. The information service industry has been the government's focus of development since 2002, with revenues growing at CAGR (Compound Average Growth Rate) of 5.2% over the decade.
