Microsoft announced a plan to establish Azure IoT Solutions Open Lab in Taiwan, aiming to help local companies develop, design, and certificate IoT (Internet of Things) products and services, reported Commercial Times on March 31. With the use of Azure IoT Suite, enterprises can send data collected from their IoT-related products to a cloud platform, where the data is turned into business intelligence via machine learning and automatic analysis and forecasting. Microsoft has been working with several local companies to develop IoT applications, including Thunder Sensing and Smart Cloud Technology.
