2017年第一季台灣智慧型手機產業（以下簡稱Smartphone）出貨量為74,719千台，年負成長13.2%，主要原因在於台灣主要客戶Apple新一代機種iPhone 7市場銷售未如預期、成長動能不再，導致Apple下修訂單所致。另一方面，台灣品牌廠商ASUS與HTC在全球市場面臨中國大陸品牌的激烈競爭，銷售持續疲弱，雖然HTC在2016年下半年開始為Google代工生產Pixel機種以提高稼動率，但整體出貨量仍未見明顯起色。
