Abstract

This research report presents Taiwanese digital satellite STB shipment volume and value forecast and recent quarter review of shipment volume, value and ASP, manufacturer volume ranking, and shipment by maker. The report also provides shipment by function and examines price trends, production locations, shipment destinations, business types, and customer portfolios. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with digital terrestrial STB makers. The report finds that the Taiwanese digital satellite STB industry's shipment volume and value, which scored double-digit year-on-year growth in the first half of 2009, continued to see bullish growth in the second half of 2009. Notably, the industry's shipment volume and value in the third quarter of 2009 even witnessed a triple-digit year-on-year growth. It is, however, anticipated that the industry's shipment volume and value growth in the first quarter of 2010 will slow down and face a double-digit sequential decline for the first time since the first quarter of 2009.
