Abstract

This research presents shipment volume and value forecast of Taiwan-based DRAM production and recent quarter shipment review. The report includes DRAM shipment volume and value, ASP, manufacturer volume ranking, and shipment breakdowns by process technology, product mix, application mix and business type. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with DRAM makers, and publicly available information such as corporate financial statements. The report finds that DRAM shipment value saw double-digit sequential and year-on-year declines in the fourth quarter of 2010. Shipment value in the first quarter of 2011 is expected to have hit the bottom line and rebound. It is anticipated that that global demand for commodity DRAM will grow sequentially in the second quarter of 2011, primarily driven by strong demand for PC DRAM.
