This research report presents shipment value forecast and recent quarter review of the Taiwanese fabless IC industry. The report includes fabless IC shipment value, product mix, and application mix analyses. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with fabless IC designers, and publicly available information such as corporate financial statements. The report finds that the Taiwanese fabless IC industry's shipment value fell 3.3% sequentially, reaching around US$4.47 billion in the fourth quarter of 2014. Overall, the industry's full-year shipment value in 2014 reached about US$17.57 billion in 2014, up 12.0% year-on-year. A further decline in the industry's shipment volume is expected in the first quarter of 2015, to approximately US$3.87 billion.
