Abstract

This report presents shipment volume and value forecast, as well as recent quarter review of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) router, VoIP TA (Terminal Adapter), IAD (Integrated Access Device), and E-MTA (Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter) shipment volume. This report also examines manufacturer volume rankings, shipment by maker, and price trends. Further breakdowns by product mix, solution provider, production location, shipment destination, business type, and customer portfolio are included as well. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with residential VoIP equipment makers. This report finds that the Taiwanese residential VoIP equipment industry suffered declines in shipment volume and value in the second quarter of 2009. Among the four major products of E-MTA, IAD, TA, and VoIP router, only VoIP router shipment saw year-on-year growth. In the second half of the year, the overall Taiwanese residential VoIP equipment shipment volume is expected to see steady sequential growth. The first half of 2010 is projected to see further rebound in shipment volume.
