Abstract

This report presents Taiwanese WiMAX CPE shipment volume and value forecast and recent quarter review of shipment volume, value, ASP, shipment ranking, and product mix. The report also provides price trends, production locations, shipment destinations, business types by ODM/OEM/OBM, and customer portfolios. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with WiMAX CPE makers. This report finds that despite the global economic downturn, Taiwanese WiMAX CPE makers saw demand surge in the first quarter of 2009. Nevertheless, despite slight shipment growth, the overall shipment value declined in the first quarter owing to dropping ASP. As demand visibility is expected to remain clear well into the second and third quarters, it is forecasted that the full-year shipment volume will see considerable growth in comparison with 2008.
