Abstract

This report presents shipment volume and value forecast, as well as recent quarter review of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) router, VoIP TA (Terminal Adapter), IAD (Integrated Access Device), and E-MTA (Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter) shipment volume. This report also examines manufacturer volume rankings, shipment by maker, and price trends. Further breakdowns by product mix, solution provider, production location, shipment destination, business type, and customer portfolio are included as well. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with residential VoIP equipment makers. This report finds that the Taiwanese residential VoIP equipment industry witnessed a year-on-year decline of 6.8% in the fourth quarter of 2008. It is anticipated that residential VoIP equipment shipment will continue its downward trend in the first quarter of 2009 as E-MTA, IAD, TA, and VoIP shipments are expected to see year-on-year declines in the said quarter.
