Abstract

This report presents shipment volume and value forecast, as well as recent quarter review of VoIP router, VoIP TA (Terminal Adapter), IAD (Integrated Access Device), and E-MTA (Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter) shipment volume. This report also examines manufacturer volume rankings, shipment by maker, and price trends. Further breakdowns by product mix, solution provider, production location, shipment destination, business type, and customer portfolio are included as well. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with residential VoIP equipment makers. This report finds that the Taiwanese residential VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) equipment industry recorded a shipment value of US$373.2 million in the second quarter of 2008, with overall shipment volume reaching nearly 8.2 million units, representing a year-on-year growth rate of 7.8%. As the price gaps gradually close, TA demand has seen significant growth while VoIP router demand has decreased.
