China Telecom continued to lead the global fixed broadband market in the second quarter of 2018, followed by China Mobile, China Unicom, Comcast, and Charter. The top 10 operators had a total of 480 million subscribers, accounted for 49% of the total subscribers worldwide. This report provides worldwide fixed broadband subscriber base of 10 major countries and South America fixed broadband subscribers of 10 major operators for the period 2Q 2016 – 2Q 2018; South America fixed broadband subscriber base of major operators in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia, categorized by major access networks of xDSL, cable modem, and FTTx, is also included.
