Abstract

Sony is the most favored brand among Chinese consumers when considering purchasing a LCD TV. By region, consumers in Guangzhou show more preference for a Sony or Panasonic LCD TV, while in Shanghai consumers have more purchase intention for a Samsung LCD TV. Sony, Samsung, and Panasonic are the major brands that Chinese consumers classified as high-status LCD TV brands.
