Abstract

"Function" is the most important information that respondents need when considering buying a mobile phone; its importance is the highest among 26- to 30-year-old respondents, rating 8.06 on a nine-point scale. "Possesses the needed functions" is the topmost factor affecting respondents' purchase decision, scoring 8.14; however, "reasonable price" is more important to buyers with a low budget. "Receive mobile phone accessories for free" is respondents' most favored promotion method, accounting for 51% of the total.
