Abstract

In the first quarter of 2011, driven by strong demand generated from the trends of cloud computing and enterprise data centers, the Taiwanese server system industry's shipment volume is anticipated to have continued witnessing year-on-year growth albeit at a slower pace compared to shipment volume in the first quarter of 2010, in which the industry's shipment had a high uptake due to the global economy recovery. Taiwanese server full-system and barebone shipment volume is estimated to have reached 774,000 units, up 2.7% year-on-year but down 7.5% sequentially.
