Abstract

With the progress in computer operating architectures, enterprise computing has moved from mainframe architectures to client/server architectures, and to server-based computing architectures. As part of this development trend, terminal devices such as thick client, rich client and thin client were developed. Thin client products have gradually gained popularity due to considerations related to lowering management costs, simplifying application environments and strengthening data security. This report examines the outlook for thin clients, including a market size forecast and product application trends.
