Abstract

In the fourth quarter of 2007, corporate spending on hardware was stable, and servers still accounted for around 12% to 15% of total corporate spending on hardware. Besides replacement demand, as there were no new corporate applications to simulate market demand, the worldwide server market's growth momentum slowed down in 2007, and was weaker than in 2006. Meanwhile, ASP (Average Selling Price) of x86 servers - including full systems and barebones - continued to decline to nearly US$800.
