While consumer demand will further drive worldwide notebook PC growth, worldwide desktop PC shipment growth will mainly rely on demand from Asia-Pacific regions and emerging markets. The competition for market dominance between HP and Dell will be intensifying. With worldwide desktop PC developing towards high-end models, share of notebook PCs adopting new functions and applications will be on the rise. Product positioning and application scenarios will play an important role in PC makers' success. In the second half of 2007 Taiwanese notebook PCs, desktop PCs, motherboards, and servers are expected to see shipment growth.
