Abstract

Despite the slowdown of the overall server industry, Taiwanese ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) server makers still managed to maintain stable growth in the first quarter of 2007. Shipment volume of Taiwanese server full systems and barebones advanced 7.6% year-on-year and 0.7% sequentially to approximately 712,000 units in the first quarter. Shipment share of barebones dropped due to increased full-system orders from major international vendors. Meanwhile, server motherboard shipment volume rose 4.2% year-on-year and 0.8% sequentially to approximately 1.05 million units.
