Global Smartphone Shipments to Grow Nearly 3% CAGR from 2024-2028, Reaching 1.32 Billion Units by 2028: MIC

Global mobile phone shipments (including feature phones) are expected to be approximately 1.365 billion units in 2024, with smartphones accounting for 86.8%, according to the Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC).

Looking ahead, MIC predicts that global smartphone shipments will reach 1.319 billion units by 2028, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.26% from 2024 to 2028.

Based on MIC's findings, for smartphones priced between US$150 and US$600, Samsung leads, followed by Chinese brands such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Honor.
