Toshiba is reported to build a new NAND flash memory plant in Japan, according to an April 3, 2012 report by Nikkan Kogyo of Japan. Toshiba's construction of the new plant, slated to start as early as this summer, is projected to aim at satisfying rising demand for mobile devices. Operations of the new plant are expected to begin in 2013.
