Acer said on May 26, 2011 that around 30% to 40% of the company's notebook PCs and netbook PCs will be manufactured in Chongqing, China, according to the Commercial Times of Taiwan. Acer plans to gradually expand its production volume in Chongqing, aiming to manufacture up to 40% of its notebook PCs and netbook PCs in Chongqing by the end of 2011. It is reported that advantages of Chongqing lie in its convenient transportation and human resources.
