Quanta announced that the company has signed a deal with 3M on March 10, 2011 to form a joint venture producing projected capacitive touch solutions, according to the Commercial Times of Taiwan. Headquartered in Singapore, it is reported that the new JV will focus on the production of touch modules, sensors, and electronic systems and products to be used in tablet PCs, all-in-one PCs, monitors, netbook PCs, and notbook PCs. Financial details of the new JV were not disclosed.
