China Mobile Launches 29 G3 Netbook PCs in China

China Mobile on April 15 has rolled out 29 netbook PC models, including six netbook PCs debuted by Beijing Mobile, a subsidiary of China Mobile in Beijing, on April 7, the Sohu IT News reported on April 16, These models, dubbed G3, were supplied by 17 PC makers including Dell, Lenovo, HP, Samsung, Founder, Tsinghua Tongfang, Acer, Haier, MSI, Greatwall Computer, TCL, Konka, BenQ, Aigo, Fujitsu, Hasee, and Malata. China Mobile also stated that consumers can receive subsidies up to 2,100 RMB (US$307.2; US$1 = 6.84 RMB) for netbook PC purchase. Meanwhile, the company launched a nationwide subsidy program for netbook PC/mobile service bundles, with service charges ranging from 50 RMB (US$7.3) a month for 500Mbps service to 300 RMB (US$43.9) for 10Gbps.
