CMEL to Mass Produce 25-inch OLED Panels in 2010; 7.6-inch OLED Panels in 4Q 2008

On October 29 Taiwanese CMEL (Chi Mei Electroluminescence) showcased a 25-inch AMLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) panel, with a thickness of 0.9mm, which is slated for mass production in 2010, Taiwan's Economic Times reported.

Additionally, the company also stated that in 2009, it will focus primarily on 7.6-inch AMLED panels, which are due to begin mass production in the fourth quarter of 2008, with an expected monthly capacity of 30,000 units. Recently CMEL has secured 7.6-inch OLED panel orders from Kodak for use in digital photo frames, according to a report by a local Taiwanese newspaper, the United Evening News.
