TPV Buys Maya Brand for More Comprehensive LCD Product Lineup

Following the strategic cooperation with Taiwanese CMO in September 2007, leading Taiwanese display manufacturer TPV announced the acquisition of China's display brand Maya in October, 2007.

 

To enhance the company's brand presence in the mid-range and high-end market segment, TPV has decided to purchase Maya brand from Guangzhou Xunjie to provide more comprehensive product lineup in the Chinese display market. Apart from Maya, TPV currently have another three display brands, including Envision, Topview, and AOC.

 

With Samsung withdrawing from the value-line LCD monitor market to focus on the mid-range and high-end model segment, the acquisition of Maya is projected to enable TPV to better compete with Samsung.
