According to a Nikkei report, Japan-based MCU (Microcontroller Unit) supplier Renesas Technology and US-based capacitive sensor IC supplier Quantum Research Group have signed a cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop new capacitive touch sensing solutions to enhance product reliability, leveraging Renesas's MCU-based semiconductor solutions and Quantum's QProx technology. The two companies expect to design innovative solutions for products such as touch screens or panels for use in a wide range of applications, including mobile phones.
