Qisda, Daewoo to Make Smaller-sized LCD TVs for LG in Europe

According to Korea's Chosun Ilbo, LG Electronics' European display division is undergoing a major restructuring and the company will cease the production of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TVs smaller than 30 inches, which will be outsourced to outside manufacturers. LG has confirmed that Qisda ?formerly known as BenQ ?of Taiwan and Daewoo of Korea will manufacture LCD TVs smaller than 26 inches, to be sold in Europe under the LG brand. LG plans to concentrate the company's resources on the production of larger-sized LCD TVs featuring high added values.
