ZTE Completes Comprehensive BBU+RRU Base Station Solutions

According to a Nikkei report, by means of fiber-optic remote technology, Chinese ZTE has developed a GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) BBU (BaseBand Unit) + RRU (Remote Radio Unit) solution. With the augmentation of the GSM solution, ZTE has completed a comprehensive portfolio of BBU + RRU solutions for use in base station deployment. Being the first to support five different wireless standards - including WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access), TD-SCDMA (Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access), GSM, CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access), and WiMAX - ZTE's solutions are expected to considerably facilitate network deployment.
