Samsung's Russian FPD TV Plant to Start Construction in July 2007

According to Korea's Chosun Ilbo, Samsung is scheduled to start construction on an FPD (Flat Panel Display) TV plant in Kaluga, 85 kilometers southwest of Moscow. With a total investment of US$57 million, the plant will cover an area of 195,000 square meters. Construction is expected to be completed by 2008, and the plant's annual capacity is aimed at 2.2 million units by 2010.
