According to Taiwan's Commercial Times, Taiwanese Asus plans to unveil five low-priced PC models based on Intel's Classmate PC structure. Equipped with a 7-inch LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) supplied by AUO, the PCs are expected to hit the market in the second half of 2007, with a price tag of around US$199 to $549. However, Asus declined to reveal any details of this plan. Also, whether the PCs will be sold under its own brand has not yet revealed.
