Changhong Begins TV Production in Czech Republic

China's Changhong has kicked off TV production at its new manufacturing facility in Nymburk, 40 kilometers east of the Czech capital Prague. With an investment of US$15 million and an initial workforce of 100, Changhong's Czech facility includes five assembly lines, covering an area of over 9,000 square meters. Changhong's current operations at this plant involve the production of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), PDP (Plasma Display Panel), and traditional CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) TV sets, with an estimated output of one million units per year. Changhong also plans to expand its product portfolio and set up an innovation and development center in the future.
