Sharp, TCL Reported to Jointly Set Up 7.5G LCD Plant

Chinese Orient Morning Post recently reported that Japan's Sharp and China's TCL have finalized their plan to set up a joint venture manufacturing 7.5G LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panels in Shenzhen, China. Sharp is expected to control 51% stake in the joint venture, Shenzhen Government 40%, and TCL the remaining 9%. Initial investment is estimated at approximately US$917 million.
