Samsung to Start Building Slovakia LCM Plant in 1H 2007

Samsung has confirmed the plan to build a LCM (Liquid Crystal Display Module) plant in Trnava, western Slovakia. An initial investment of 147.4 billion Won (US$155.5 million; US$1 = 947.9 Won) will be injected into this facility, with construction slated to start in the first half of 2007. Samsung plans to start mass production in the first half of 2008, targeting the European LCD TV market.
