BenQ to Start Construction of Czech LCD Facility in 3Q, 2007

BenQ is reportedly to start construction of an LCD facility in the Cernovicka terasa Industrial Zone of Brno, the Czech Republic, in the third quarter of 2007. According to Agence France-Presse and local press reports, the facility will house eight assemblies in two halls, with an area of more than 50,000 square meters. The new facility is expected to employ 700 people for an annual capacity of 500,000 LCD displays and 500,000 monitors
