TPV Technology Obtains 40" LCD TV Orders from Sony

Taiwanese Economic Daily News recently reported that Hong Kong-listed TPV Technology has secured Sony's first ever 40-inch LCD TV outsourcing orders, mainly targeted at the China market. The LCD TVs will use the 7G LCD panels made by S-LCD, a joint venture between Sony and Samsung, and shipment of the orders is expected to start in the third quarter of 2006.
