Hitachi-Audix JV to Build Up CCFL Capacity in China

According to a report by Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Wujiang-based Hitachi Optoelectronics, a joint venture between Japanese Hitachi and Taiwanese Audix, will boost its monthly capacity of CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) for LCD monitors in China from current three million units to nine million units by the end of 2006.
