ULVAC Technologies, a leading LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) production equipment supplier, plans to complete in January 2007 the prototype of new LCD panel manufacturing equipment for 10G glass substrates. 10G glass substrates, measuring 3x2.8 meters, are 60% larger than present 8G models and thus can be cut into more LCD panels. ULVAC expects to roll out the first commercial model in December 2007 at the earliest.
