Flextronics Acquires Iwill for Server Motherboard R&D Capability

According to Taiwan's Economic Daily News, Singapore-based Flextronics, an EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) provider, has recently acquired Taiwanese server motherboard firm Iwill, aiming to boost its design and manufacturing capabilities for workstation and sever motherboards. Iwill's brand and R&D team will be transferred to Flextronics. This move will allow Flextronics to better compete against Foxconn. More details about the acquisition were not yet released.
