Sanyo Epson, BOE Hydis Reach Cross-Licensing Agreement

Japanese Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices and Korean BOE Hydis Technology have signed a cross-licensing agreement on TFT LCD technologies, including BOE Hydis' wide-viewing angle AFFS (Advanced Fringe Field Switching) technology, which offers a viewing angle of 180 degrees. Sanyo Epson plans to incorporate AFFS technology into a new product line of high-resolution small- and medium-sized TFT LCD panels.
