Matsushita to Increase PDP Capacity

Matsushita has announced that it will boost monthly PDP (Plasma Display Panel) capacity at its Amagasaki plant by 160,000 units by July 2006, up from the originally planned 125,000 units. An investment of 10 billion Yen has been set aside for this expansion. Matsushita expects its total monthly PDP capacity to reach 460,000 in July 2006, 630,000 units by July 2007, and 960,000 units by March 2009.
